I Love Waffles Store Fit-Out

A complete interior fit-out for I Love Waffles' Quayside Simon's Town location. The project involved the construction of a full brick-built service counter, finished with a slate-effect tile cladding, alongside a custom drywall ceiling bulkhead housing recessed downlights above the counter area. The brand's signature blue and pink colour palette was carried throughout the walls and architectural details to create a vibrant, welcoming café environment.

The service counter was laid from brick up, carefully measured and set out on-site before being clad in a grey stone-effect tile finish. The drywall ceiling bulkhead was framed and boarded above the counter to define the service area and house the recessed lighting, creating a clean and functional overhead detail. Walls were skimmed, painted, and finished in the brand's signature colours, with white subway tiling installed behind the counter as a practical and on-brand splashback. The entire build was coordinated to deliver a turnkey space ready for trading.

The completed café is a bright, brand-consistent space that creates a strong first impression for customers entering from the Quayside. The brick-built counter finished with tile cladding gives the space a solid, professional feel, while the drywall bulkhead and recessed lighting draw focus to the service area. The client received a fully fitted, operational store delivered on schedule.
